Lessons & Custom Fitting
Wilmslow is fortunate in having a 300-yard practice range, short game area and bunker, with free balls for members and visitors, perfect for coaching. The Trackman Performance Centre, located on the range, is used by the professional teaching staff for member and visitor lessons and custom club fitting, featuring all the top club brands.
The new state-of-the-art Putting Studio, located next to the Clubhouse, is available for lessons from our teaching pros and David Ames our ‘resident’ putting guru.

Hire
If you need to hire a set of clubs just call the Professional Shop before your round.
Buggies and Trolleys are available for hire from the Professional Shop. Two-seater electric ride-on buggies are available for visitors to hire at the rate of £35. The Club operates a Safe Buggy Policy for use of these vehicles.
Matt Gillingham Head Professional
Matt was appointed Head Professional at The Wilmslow Golf Club in November 2010. He started in the golf industry in 1998 working for a golf equipment manufacturer learning the importance of club building/fitting and working with the sales and marketing divisions.
Matt has worked as assistant pro at Vivary Park Golf Club and Taunton’s premier private members club, Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club. In October 2007 he gained the position of Golf Professional at The Gleneagles Hotel and Golf Courses, where he also assisted the European Tour and Tournament Director with the planning and organisation required for the 2008, 2009 & 2010 Johnnie Walker Championship and the 2010 Junior Ryder Cup.
He is qualified as an NLP Master Practitioner to help players with the mental aspect of the game and achieve peak performance.
